I think Lake Taupo should be one of the natural wonders of the world because it is a natural attribute of our country. Taupo was formed by a gigantic volcanic eruption many years befor man inhabite our country. Through this eruption the lake was formed and is a significant feature if the North Island.

The lake provides many opportunities to a great number of people nationally and internationally. the lake is well known for trout fishing and attracts many people for this reason alone. It is also used recreationally for boating, sailing, waterskiing and swimming.

During term 2 we had to make a powerpoint on natural disasters I chose Earthquakes here it is.The most dangerous place to live where tsunamis occur is japan they have had a number of earthquakes and tsunamis.  In 1855 in Wellington there was a earthquake with a magnitude of 8.2.  Samoa had a big tsunami in 2011 killing hundreds of people and smashing everything in its way. Heaps of people lost their houses, lives, cars and loved ones even cities. Tsunamis are often generated by volcanic eruptions under the sea they can also be generated by earthquakes.
